Is a bathroom fan practical?

Yes, a bathroom fan is practical because it helps to reduce moisture in bathrooms and thus to prevent mould growth. High humidity can also result in unpleasant odours and an unhygienic room climate. A bathroom fan can also contribute to preventing condensation from forming on mirrors and surfaces, which is particularly useful if there is little or no daylight in the bathroom.

Why should you ventilate a bathroom?

It is important to ventilate a bathroom regularly in order to prevent moisture and mould growth. Steam is produced when you take a bath or shower. This condenses in the room air and collects on surfaces such as tiles and ceilings. If the moisture is not adequately removed, then this can result in mould growth and a poor room climate.
